So naturally, I was excited to get involved in another "Bead Soup" so of course, I signed up! Then realized it wasn't 'Bead Soup'... saddened at first, but also knowing another chapter had to open I turned the page and gladly met my new partner Pallavi Asher, as she excitedly informed me it was her first swap.
These are the things she sent me. Sorry, I cheated and used my partner's photos for what she sent me and what I sent. I have been ill, and forgetful.
The Blue floral beads are the stars of this show accented by the wonderful leaf charms with cute ladybugs nestled on them. Multi-tier darkened silver chain just seemed to call for the job. It sports a toggle on the back.
This guy was fun! I fell in love with this one and knew that if no other beading got done in this swap I had to at least do a RAW chain so I could wear him as a necklace instead of just as a key chain. I added a bead to be the toggle. He was hand beaded by my lovely partner - Isn't she talented? I will wear him with pride.
Last, but not least that lovely shell piece... I added some of my own MOP and silk of varying thicknesses to strand and function as a toggle. TADA!
What I sent Pallavi Asher
Let's go visit the rest of the bloggers now too...
Thanks Linda Anderson for hosting and organizing this event. It takes a lot to put these things together.

Wow !!!! This is fantastic! You have created such terrific collection !!! I`m thrilled , thrilled, thrilled . And I love the necklace you made with that beaded charm :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are pleased. Just sorry I didn't accomplish more. You gave me a wonderful array of choices in textures and wow the colors! it was easy to create just hard on time this time around. Most swaps I use the complete soup. As I use the rest of the goodies I will Post photos and tag you :) You are an awesome partner and have become a good friend <3 Blessings!
DeleteBeautiful pieces! I hope you are feeling all better now too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kari, health like creating is an ongoing process :)
DeleteSimple and layered is a combination I like a lot as in the first and last necklaces - an awesome combo of color and detail! And I am glad you decided to wear the gorgeous tassel as a necklace and made this thin bright chain for it!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It just didn't seem right to have it shoved in a purse :) Seed Beads all the way! Yes, I agree layered seems to be one of my mainstays. Thank you for your kind words <3
Deletelovely pieces! love the multi-tier one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alainn! I loved what you turned out with your swaps too! You were a busy girl :) Just lovely!
DeleteYour creations are delightful. The openess and simplicity of the first necklace makes it so attractive.
ReplyDeleteEach of your designs accents the main componenet so well.
Great job !
Thanks Mowse! As you know, it isn't hard when the ingredients tell you what they want to be :)
DeleteGreat work.. I am always in awe of seed beaders as I have no patience with the tiny beads
ReplyDeleteThanks Fay! I had more seed beading in mind if my health had only let me, I will have to do them anyway and post an addendum I think ;)
